東日本大震災から10年の節目に、宮城県南三陸町で執り行われた追悼式典に、ANZCCJ名誉会頭として参列しました。オーストラリア大使館および在日豪州ビジネスコミュニティとともに、被災地の復興を引き続き支えていく姿勢をあらためて示しました。代表メラニー・ブロックは震災直後から東北の復興支援に携わり、複数の自治体から親善大使の称号を授与されています。
